Thankful for, October week 1.

Be thankful amidst trial. Be thankful amidst transition. Be thankful in all circumstances (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Giving thanks starts to look a little different as you grow up. When I was little it was more of a, "I'm thankful for all my toys, oh and my parents they are cool too." However now, it has transformed into lists and lists of things to give thanks for. (Shoutout to Jesus for opening my eyes). Life is pretty cool, and that is why thankful for Fridays are a thing here on this page. Through the ups and the downs, it is important to be thankful for what is here. Recognize the things around you and give shouts of praise.

This week I am thankful for:

1) The start of F-A-L-L.

EVEN IN PHOENIX, the temperature dropped this week, and boy am I excited about that.

2) Family and friends are all in town this weekend (PARTY TIME).

I am already feelin' right at home here in Arizona, but seeing my Mom's face again for sure did the trick for any ounce of homesickness I may have been avoiding.

3) Motivation to write.

Alright, to be honest, writers block is a very REAL thing. For a little while there, I was out of it, I was in a slump, and I could not get myself to type words on a page. However, Jesus turned that around this week, so PRAISE.

Thankfulness looks a little different than it did when I was younger, but I see soy much joy in so much more now, and I am really, super, excited about that.
