Soakin' Up College and All the Little Memories in Between

I don’t know what it is about your senior year of college, but the world randomly decides that asking you 78 questions a day about your future is the new norm.

“What’s the plan?”

“Where are you going next?”

“Are you going to move home?”

Honestly, these are all valid questions.

Disclaimer, I can’t blame people for their curiosity and Lord knows I have asked those before me all the same questions at least a dozen times.

However, HOLY BANANAS, I have never in my life thought so much about the future.

When you graduate high school, sure you should maybe have the next step semi in-line. When you graduate college, it feels like you are expected to have your career path, future children’s names, place you want to live forever, and retirement fund all in line.

UHM. I don’t know if you realized but I’ve spent the last 4 years living off of Chik-Fil-A fries and a nanny income, as much as I would love to tell you I have life figured out, I sure as heck don’t.

The past semester has been jam packed with all sorts of “plans” for the future, goals in mind, and hopeful leads on landing a semi-in-my-field job.

Here’s the deal though, as important as plans are, I am reminded on the daily that they aren’t everything. While I do love dreamin’ up where I will be in a year or so, I am reminded all the more that these next 4 months are ACTUALLY only here for 4 more months.

It is time to soak in every little moment.

Whatever the next season holds, I am excited to soak all of that in when the time comes.

Wherever you are at in life right now, soak it in. Sit in it for a minute and take a peak around. We tend to plan our way through life and press fast forward. Don’t miss the beauty in the messiness of the life you are currently livin’.
